- Check out a fishing rod and
fully-stocked tackle box for three weeks! Rods and tackle boxes
can be circulated to patrons 16 years of age or older with a library
card. Up to 3 fishing rods and 3 tackle boxes may be checked out
per household. After three weeks, a fine of $0.25 per day per item
will be charged until the fishing materials are returned. There
will be a replacement fee of $10.00 each, charged for any lost fishing
rods and/or tackle boxes. Rods and tackle boxes cannot be
renewed.
- All fishing rods and tackle boxes
that are circulated from the Lauri Ann West Memorial Library or the
Sharpsburg Branch must be returned to that Library's circulation desk
during the regular hours of operation.
- All patrons must sign a waiver
before they borrow any fishing equipment. Patrons under the age of
18 must have their waiver signed by a parent or gaurdian.
- Patrons checking out fishing
materials will have everything necessary to go fishing except live bait
and a fishing license (anyone 16 or older must have a license to fish in
Pennsylvania). Please note: the contents of the tackle boxes will
vary on occasion.
- Enjoy your fishing experience, and
please treat the equipment as you would something that you
purchased. Try to return it to the library in the same condition
that it was in when you checked it out. Fishing poles must be
returned clean, without hooks, bait or other matter or debris
attached.
- Lauri Ann West Memorial Library
and the Sharpsburg Branch of the Lauri Ann West Memorial Library accept
no responsibility or liability for any injuries incurred by anyone using
the fishing equipment made available under the Loan-A-Rod
Program.
Please call the Library at
(412) 828-9520, extension 13 or (412) 781-0783, if additional information
is needed on the Loan-A-Rod Program.
