We
are excited to announce our Love the Library gala for
2011. The benefit will be held on Thursday, April 7 at
the Pittsburgh Field Club. This year's benefit will
raise operating funds for the new Cooper-Siegel Community
Library that opens this spring. Thomas Cangiano,
President, Shady Side Academy, will discuss "Preparing our
Children
for the Global Market."
We will also
take this opportunity to honor Verne Koch, President,
Cooper-Siegel Community Library Board, former School Board
member, Fox Chapel Area School District,
Jane Mather, Teacher, Fox
Chapel Area High School and, in memoriam, Audrey
Ashworth, Head Librarian, Shady Side Academy Middle
School.
Sally Wiggin from WTAE will serve as Master of
Ceremonies
The ticket price for the event is
$85. In addition to the benefit at the Pittsburgh Field
Club, patron tickets will be sold for $150 each and include
a pre-gala celebratory tour of the Cooper-Siegel Community
Library.
